We strongly recommend calling (610-948-7127) or emailing (info@sfahs.com) before your visit, just to make sure our volunteers are on site.  Volunteer hosts sometimes must cancel at the last minute.

​DISPLAYS REVAMPED!

There is so much to see!

  • Revamped and updated display areas in both the Farmhouse and Gallery

  • New Photography exhibit in the Gallery

  • Regular hours have resumed:  Sundays, 1:00-3:00PM; Wednesdays, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Or by special appointment)

  • We are currently open, limited to our Farmhouse kitchen for candle fundraiser order pickup and Christmas gift purchases.

  • Our next closures in our regular schedule will be Dec. 21, Christmas Eve Day, December 28, and New Year's Eve Day.

  • We have a few extra 8 oz. candles for sale online and in the Farmhouse kitchen on Wednesdays and Sundays.  We will also be open on Saturday, December 20 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM.

 

PICTURES WITH SANTA!

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 20 - 3PM - 4:30PM

  • Just in from appearing at the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade, Santa will be "in the house" for pictures.

  • Pictures to be taken by member and professional photographer, Joe Evans (The Picture Taker).

  • All children will receive an activity packet and other goodies.

  • No charge, but we do ask for a donation.

  • Gift items will also be available for purchase.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY NEWS

LOCAL HISTORY PROGRAMS

The historical society has announced the 2025 dates for its annual local history programs as well as topics for three of the four:

  • April 9 - Bicentennial of the Schuylkill Navigation System

  • June 11 - History of Arlington's Tomb of the Unknowns

  • September 17 - Local Art & Artists

  • November 12 - Washington Takes Command

All programs start at 7:00 PM and are held at the Royersford VFW, 730 S. Fourth Ave.​  (Note the new start time!)

FAMILY SUMMER HISTORY PROGRAMS

SPECIAL EVENT

VINCENT CANAL HISTORICAL MARKER

SFAHS has received a grant from the Pomeroy Foundation and has created a marker to commemorate the Vincent Canal which came through Spring City and was responsible for its founding and growth.  Stay tuned for information on the marker's dedication.
